Introduction

From 1st July 2011 all of our clients’ General Insurance needs will be dealt with by Edinburgh Risk Management (General) Ltd – “ERMG”  who will be trading as Border Insurance Brokers, operating from the ground floor office in our Kelso building.

All of our existing general insurance staff will transfer to ERMG from the 1st of July.  Derek Jones will be kept on as a consultant for a year and the familiar faces (and voices) of Alan, Susan, Ruth, Jacki and Lara will be joined by the management and experienced staff of ERMG to maintain the personal and professional service you have come to expect.

ERMG is a family owned business and one of the few Independent General Insurance brokers left in Scotland. Although their main offices are in Edinburgh they have a branch in Haddington and already have many clients throughout the Borders and Lothian regions. They fully understand our client’s needs and want to continue the local and personal service. ERMG, by investing here in Kelso and by preserving current relationships, will take a long term approach as your Border Insurance Broker. They are aiming to preserve the current excellent long term relationships which we have enjoyed with our clients over the last 28 years. ERMG are taking a long term approach to work closely with us where our mutual clients need advice from either Border Insurance Brokers for General Insurance or ourselves, at Border Insurance Services for Financial Services.

Our  Financial Services  business will continue to trade as Border Insurance Services operating  from the first floor of our Kelso office. Mike Beswick and Mark Andrews will be pleased to continue to arrange products and give Independent Financial Advice for Investments, Life Insurance, Income Protection, Pensions and Mortgages.
